In an instant, Helen cup with an idea.

Linda had no idea of it. She hurriedly explained, “Mr. Moore askedto send them over.”

Helen nodded without saying anything and glared at Jackson, who was rubbing his nose in confusion. Then,

Helen turned to Linda and said directly, “Linda, in that case, your work is done. This is a private. gathering

between my family and my goddaughter Gilda, so you may leave. I'll invite you over to the house maybe some

other time.”

Linda didn’t expect Helen to say that.

After blanking out for a second, Linda replied quickly, “Yes, Mrs. Moore. Then | shall go.”

After saying that, Linda looked over at Jackson and said in a whisper, “Mr. Moore, I'm leaving then.”

Jackson nodded without saying anything.

Linda bit her lips tightly, feeling unwilling to do so. But now she couldn't find a reason to stay.

After she left. Helen winked at Gilda and snorted, “I know what she was up to. Don’t worry, Gilly. Jackson won't

keep any female assistants around him anymore.”

With that, Helen glared at Jackson and said, “Transfer her to another position as soon as possible. Do you hear

me?”

Jackson didn’t want to irritate his mother over such trivial matters, so he agreed obediently.

Gilda didn’t expect Helen to speak so bluntly!

However, Gilda admired Helen's insight. She smiled, “Aunt Helen, didn’t you say you made my favorite grilled

lamb chops? I'm starving.”

Helen chuckled, “Oh, you're right. Cin.”

They sat down to eat together, close as family. Helen said cordially, “Gilly, try the grilled lamb chops and fried

steak. | know they are your favorite dishes.”

Gilda called out with a big smile on her face, “Oh, Aunt Helen, | swear they're incredibly delicious.”

Helen was amused and laughed, “Gilda, you're such a sweet girl. You know, Jackson never says anything

sweet to his mother.”

Jackson coughed.

He joked, “Mom, why do you treat Gilda better than the way you treat me? I'm your son.”

Jackson shrugged helplessly, but Helen laughed louder, “Oh, sorry | forgot about that.”

Helen nodded with satisfaction and then looked at Jackson, asking, “Jackson, am | right?”

Jackson chimed in, “Yes, the necklace is gorgeous, and so is the person.”

Gilda was a bit shy.

She began to wonder if Jackson had been so sweet before.

Helen observed the interaction between them and was happy to see that her son finally said it! Helen grinned,

“Buy Gilly sgifts next tyou see anything beautiful, will you?”

Jackson nodded in approval, his eyes fixed on Gilda.

“Got it,” Jackson echoed lightly.

Gilda couldn't help but smile warmly at the feeling of being pampered. She wrapped her arms around. Helen and

pouted, “Aunt Helen, you're probably the kindest person to me.”

Helen said tenderly, “Of course, Gilly. In my heart, you are my family.”

And Helen hoped that Gilda would soon becher daughter-in-law.

At that thought, Helen gave Jackson a suggestive glance as if urging him to talk something nice to Gilda.
